North York General wins quality award

TORONTO – rL Solutions, a leading provider of healthcare quality and safety software, announced that North York General Hospital (NYGH) is the winner of the 2008 Canadian Healthcare Excellence in Quality Award (CHEQA).

The winning entry, entitled Patient Flow: Improving the Overall Patience Experience, focused on improving patient flow and access to care across four areas: within the Emergency Department, between the Emergency Department and General Internal Medicine, within General Internal Medicine and in partnership with its Community Care Access Centre.

Selected from among five finalists, NYGH was awarded $15,000 at a ceremony taking place at the Canadian Healthcare Symposium 8 in Winnipeg in October.
