Canada’s Procura wins large deal in Australia

BRISBANE, Australia – Procura Healthcare Systems announced that it has been selected by Blue Care, in Australia, to implement the Procura Health Management System, an enterprise-class healthcare information system.

Procura will provide Blue Care with a clinical solution that will allow the organization’s Community Care and Social & Allied Health services to improve the efficiency of staffing, client care and service management through the use of a common information system.

Blue Care is Australia’s largest provider of community and residential aged care services, with over 9,800 employees responsible for the delivery of nearly 2.5 million community service visits annually and manages over 5,200 residential beds and independent living units across 260 centres.

The Procura system will be used by the organization to store client information from community service streams. By capturing the data in a centralized system, Blue Care’s direct service, service management, and executive staff will have immediate access to consistently recorded, high quality data.

The knowledge repository that this creates will provide improved decision supports, trending and outcome reporting to create a more flexible and predictive approach to program and service planning. Further, timely operations and management information will allow Blue Care to meet the rising demand for services in an increasingly competitive labour market.

Blue Care’s clients will directly benefit with greater service consistency and a cohesive service delivery plan that places the client at the centre of the model of care.
