Sarah Muttitt confirmed as Infoway VP,
Canada Health Infoway announced that Dr. Sarah Muttitt
(pictured) has been
appointed the organization’s Vice-President of Innovation and Adoption.
Dr. Muttitt focuses on emerging electronic health record solutions,
their adoption by clinicians, and their impact on healthcare quality,
access and productivity. She brings her clinical experience to I&A
projects and provides leadership in the areas of change management, end
user acceptance, benefits evaluation and knowledge management.
Sarah joined Canada Health Infoway in December 2004. In her previous
role as Group Director of Investment Strategy and Planning, she had
accountability for refining Infoway’s investment strategies, developing
the annual business plan, coordinating the three-year planning exercise
and coordinating the resolution of strategic and tactical issues that
arose from the implementation of the investment strategies.
Sarah has more than twenty years experience in the healthcare industry
with a clinical background in pediatrics and neonatology and private
sector experience in the development and implementation of innovative
She is a University of Alberta medical school graduate, holds
subspecialty certification in both Canada and the US, and completed her
MBA from the Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario.
Prior to joining Infoway, Sarah was the Director of the Manitoba
Telehealth Network based in the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As
well, she was a consultant and project lead on pan-Canadian and
international projects in the areas of telehealth and healthcare
