Medworxx to acquire
TORONTO – Medworxx, a leading provider of comprehensive knowledge
management and communication solutions for the healthcare market, has
announced an agreement to acquire all of the assets of Continuum
solutions from the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital.
Under the terms of the agreement, St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital will
continue their involvement as a strategic partner for the ongoing
development of the Continuum solutions application.
Continuum solutions provides Clinical Utilization Management software
Promoting quality care and improved resource management, the Continuum
solutions’ daily reports show patient-care status, care delays and
readiness for discharge. Strategical graphs identify trends and issues,
whether physician, hospital or community. The software connects to
existing hospital systems, provides quick data entry and presents
information in simple to understand formats.

According to Collins, an important aspect of the transition is the

Larry Vanier, previously a Principal with Continuum solutions and past
Director of IT at St. Thomas-Elgin, has accepted the position of
Vice-President Decision Support & Health Care Processes with Medworxx.
He sees the complementary technology and new business relationship
resulting in new solutions for customers.

Sandi Jenkins, previously a Principal with Continuum solutions and
former Director of Quality-Utilization Management and Discharge Planning
