Quebec City region chooses MediSolution for pharmacy IT

MONTREAL – MediSolution announced that it has signed a five-year agreement with healthcare institutions located in the Region de la Capitale nationale de Quebec for the implementation of MediPharm+, an integrated pharmacy management suite designed for hospitals.

The solution will be implemented in six institutions located throughout the Quebec National Capital Region. The $0.5 million contract includes software licensing and implementation revenue.

“Following a quality/price analysis, we found that MediPharm+ was the best solution to help the region achieve their objectives. With its cost-effective, operational efficiency and time-saving features, this solution meets our requirement to share information across multiple healthcare institutions,” said Mario Parent, manager of information systems for the centre hospitalier affilie universitaire de Quebec and chairman of the selection committee.

MediPharm+ supports the various environments found within the university centre and multiple configurations of pharmacy services located throughout the region.

The Quebec National Capital Region will be implementing the integrated perpetual inventory, electronic purchase ordering, integrated prescription management and clinical profile modules.
