Philips completes integration of
Executives at Philips Canada say the company has now completed the
integration of the Stentor iSite PACS product line into the Philips HIT
business. That’s less than six weeks after Philips announced that the
acquisition of Stentor had been completed, in August 2005.
Stentor’s PACS has consistently received high customer satisfaction
ratings in the United States. In particular, it received a #1 PACS
rating for “acute care facilities over 200 beds” in the KLAS Industry
Report, mid-year 2005.
Management at Philips Canada said the company is now receiving orders in
Canada for the iSite PACS and expects iSite to be the prominent product
in a line of future developments and integrated solutions.
Philips will now provide an end-to-end integrated portfolio, including
Radiology and Cardiology Image Management, a new Radiology Information
System, EasyRIS, as well as MedQuest dictation and voice recognition
Current Philips customers – using EasyAccess PACS -– are to be supported
by Philips. Over time, a migration strategy will be put in place to move
existing customers over to the new Philips iSite PACs solution.
