Philips completes integration of Stentor

Executives at Philips Canada say the company has now completed the integration of the Stentor iSite PACS product line into the Philips HIT business. That’s less than six weeks after Philips announced that the acquisition of Stentor had been completed, in August 2005.

Stentor’s PACS has consistently received high customer satisfaction ratings in the United States. In particular, it received a #1 PACS rating for “acute care facilities over 200 beds” in the KLAS Industry Report, mid-year 2005.

Management at Philips Canada said the company is now receiving orders in Canada for the iSite PACS and expects iSite to be the prominent product in a line of future developments and integrated solutions.

Philips will now provide an end-to-end integrated portfolio, including Radiology and Cardiology Image Management, a new Radiology Information System, EasyRIS, as well as MedQuest dictation and voice recognition systems.

Current Philips customers – using EasyAccess PACS -– are to be supported by Philips. Over time, a migration strategy will be put in place to move existing customers over to the new Philips iSite PACs solution.
