Mindray receives its largest Canadian order

SHENZHEN, China – Mindray Medical International Limited, a leading developer, manufacturer and marketer of medical devices worldwide, together with Ultra-Portable, Inc., Mindray’s partner and distributor in Canada, has announced Mindray North America’s largest order of patient monitors in Canada.

The installation of the patient monitors has already begun at the Centre hospitalier universitaire de Québec (CHUQ), which is comprised of three hospitals: L’Hôtel-Dieu de Québec, Hôpital Saint-François d’Assise and Centre hospitalier de l’Université Laval (CHUL). Over 90 patient monitors are being installed at the hopital L’Hotel-Dieu de Québec.

“At the CHUQ, we were looking for a patient monitoring and life support solution that could be installed in all patient care units of the oldest hospital site in North America. A timely and integrated solution was required. Mindray North America products offer an exceptional quality to price ratio. They simply enabled us to make things happen,” stated Mr. Christian Moisan, Director of Biomedial Engineering, CHUQ.

“The goal of Ultra-Portable and Mindray North America is to offer the Canadian market an alternative in patient monitoring by providing solutions and services with excellent quality that can also generate positive return on investment,” said Mr. Hani Sardi, General Manager, Ultra-Portable, Inc.

“Canada is one of our key target markets outside the United States. With our proximity and the benefits of NAFTA, we are going to make larger investment in Canada to ensure customers like CHUQ receive outstanding service and support,” said Mr. Ricardo Cristancho, Vice President of International Sales, Mindray North America. “Mindray North America will be a top tier supplier in Canada and we are focusing all our effort to offer high quality products and services to meet every need of the Canadian healthcare market.”
