Accentus solutions chosen by three Ontario hospitals

OTTAWA – Accentus Inc. has announced three new deployments of its Transcription Solutions with major healthcare organizations in Ontario: York Central Hospital, Southlake Regional Health Centre, and Stevenson Memorial Hospital.

Accentus Transcription Solutions provide clients with a complete end-to-end service, bringing together a qualified team of transcription and business professionals to execute and manage the transcription workflow. The solution utilizes the latest transcription technologies and applications, offered in a fully outsourced SaaS or software-as-a-service model.

“The contract for transcription services went through our full competitive bidding process, adhering to Ontario’s Supply Chain Guidelines,” said Mark Scullino, Director, Strategic Sourcing and Procurement for Central Ontario Healthcare Procurement Alliance (COHPA). “We are pleased to say that this process has resulted in the contract being awarded to a company that meets all the criteria set out in the RFP and provides our partners with a valuable service.”

The multi-year contract will see Accentus handle a combined total of up to 1 million minutes or 10 million lines of transcription per year for York Central Hospital, Southlake Regional Health Centre, and Stevenson Memorial Hospital.

“Accentus offered us a complete turn-key solution,” said Diane Salois-Swallow, Chief Information Officer, York Central Hospital and Southlake Regional Health Centre. “Partnering with Accentus allows us to continue providing our doctors with the best quality transcription available, gain voice recognition efficiencies, increase productivity, all within a secure, cost-effective, resilient and highly scalable outsourced infrastructure.”

Accentus Transcription Solutions are increasingly becoming a key choice for healthcare organizations, health authorities, and local health integration networks (LHINs) looking to outsource transcription services and technology in order to reduce administrative overhead, eliminate on-site technology maintenance costs and data center fees, while maintaining access to the most current voice, text, and speech recognition technologies available.
