Biosign appoints VP of business development

TORONTO – Biosign Technologies Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of John T. Anders (pictured) as Vice President Business Development and Sales. Mr. Anders is a respected healthcare executive with over 30 years experience in sales, marketing and financial planning leadership. He will be responsible for commercializing the proprietary capabilities of the company’s UFIT device and the many healthcare software applications that it drives.

“We are excited to have John join our organization as we move forward to begin commercializing our products,” said Radu Leca, President of Biosign, adding “with John’s background in eHealth and medical device sales, we are confident that we will begin to see adoption of our devices both in Canada and abroad.”

Biosign is a healthcare technology company that provides systems to monitor health status and outcomes. Key applications include intelligent systems for non-invasive monitoring of common health risks such as high blood pressure, high blood glucose, and adverse responses to medication.

Mr. Anders brings with him a history of successfully led innovative business development and strategic initiatives for technology organizations serving the healthcare sector. Mr. Anders’ was previously Senior Director for the Bell Centre for Healthcare Innovation, Director of Canadian Sales for Quovadx, where he developed and implemented Canadian specific sales and marketing strategies, including channel partner expansion.

Prior to that, he held a wide variety of senior management roles with a number of technology innovative organizations, including healthcare software specialists Nightingale Informatix Corporation and NDC Health; business process outsourcing/new media specialist Crucible Management Solutions, Inc.; and strategic healthcare planning specialist McFaul and Lyons of Canada, among others. Mr. Anders also served as Vice President of HealthPRO Procurement Services for the Ontario Hospital Association.

Mr. Anders has an MBA from the University of Toronto. He has founded and/or served on a number of healthcare-related association boards, as well as served as Health Care Sector Observer for the Ministry of Economic Development & Trade. A publisher of numerous industry articles, Mr. Anders is a sought after speaker for professional events, where he provides a leadership perspective on issues relating to health service delivery in Canada.
