NovaRad scores wins in Canadian DI clinics

AMERICAN FORK, Utah – Canadian facilities have recently installed NovaRad PACS and RIS technologies to help improve reading, workflow, patient scheduling and procedures tracking. These facilities are:
• Baker Clinic in Edmonton – which has installed NovaPACS.
• AIM Medical Imaging in Vancouver, which has installed NovaPACS and NovaRIS.

According to the company, factors behind the selection included the fast installation timeframe and easy-to-use user interface. NovaRad technologies can be installed and live, including training, in fewer than four weeks.

Additionally, NovaRad provides the radiologist with a completely mouse-driven viewer for “clean-screen” viewing with features including advanced hanging protocols, Point ROI, measuring tools, customizable menus, stat reads and e-sign.

“Our radiology systems are built by radiologists for radiologists to help simplify reading, improve productivity and promote financial efficiencies,” said Paul Shumway, NovaRad vice president. “It is rewarding that these facilities found our systems to be the best solution for them and we are pleased to continue our expansion throughout Canada.”

NovaPACS is NovaRad’s complete, turnkey PACS offering fast image retrieval, full-feature viewer with intuitive interface, and 7-year on-site archive with off site emergency back up. Full screen viewing, easy to use menus and mouse-based functions are available to help enhance efficiency, and referring physicians have complete access to images and reports from any computer.

To complement NovaPACS, NovaRad offers NovaRIS. Developed on the same platform as NovaPACS, NovaRIS generates reports, measures profitability and facilitates paperless management of patient records.
