Nightingale acquires OpenX Technologies

MARKHAM, Ont. – Nightingale Informatix, a leading provider of ASP-based solutions to Canadian physicians, has acquired OpenX Technologies, an innovative technology company that provides computer telephony services to the healthcare community.

OpenX TeleAttendant allows busy healthcare facilities to manage telephone traffic by automating and streamlining communication with patients and other stakeholders. The results are tangible financial and operational benefits to its clients.

“The OpenX TeleAttendant, once integrated with Nightingale’s practice management solutions, will allow us to offer our clients tangible cost savings. This will further enhance communication efficiencies and patient traffic in any healthcare facility,” said Sam Chebib, Nightingale’s CEO. (Pictured at left.)

“Our objective is to make it easy for health care providers to outsource all of their IT requirements, patient management, claims processing, phone and data communications to Nightingale. Our new initiatives for the bundling of our solutions, with Voice over IP and other connectivity solutions will be accelerated with this acquisition”.

The unique proprietary technology of OpenX will be available, in Canada, exclusively as an integrated product with Nightingale’s eHealth solutions. It will be offered commercially by May of this year, the company said.

“This transaction allows OpenX immediate access to Nightingale clients across the country,” said Vlad Allen, president of OpenX. “Being part of a leading healthcare IT organization gives OpenX the opportunity to showcase the efficiencies of our proprietary technology on a much wider scale. We will continue to offer our technologies to industries such as the automotive, hospitality and other “appointment centric” businesses. At the same time we can focus on the healthcare sector through Nightingale products, where most of the opportunity exists.”

OpenX will operate as wholly owned subsidiary of Nightingale and will market its products in Canada exclusively as part of Nightingale’s bundled suite. They will also provide solutions to channel partners on an OEM basis for the healthcare, CRM and automotive industries in the United States and other international markets.

Nightingale Informatix Corp. enables physicians and healthcare clinics to manage patient flow, claims processing, clinical documentation and communication between doctors and patients by using its proprietary enterprise solutions.

Headquartered in Markham, Ontario, Nightingale has offices in Fredericton, Vancouver and Calgary.
