Calgary selects Logibec solution for patient scheduling
Logibec Groupe Informatique Ltd. announced that the Calgary Health
Region will extend its use of Clinibase patient administration software
to the region's major acute-care and urgent-care facilities.
According to this seven-year agreement valued at $4 million, Calgary
Health Region intends to implement Clinibase in all existing and
additional facilities they manage.
"The Clinibase software, once implemented, will be a core component of
the Region's electronic health record strategy by sustaining common
processes and data management practices. As such, the software will be
required to seamlessly integrate with Calgary Health Region's patient
care system and other departmental systems," said Chris Eagle, MD, vice
president and chief information officer for Calgary Health Region.
The agreement builds on a strong relationship between the Calgary Health
Region and Logibec. Clinibase has been installed in one of the region
facilities for many years and has a proven track record in performance
and functionality for patient registration and scheduling.
"We look forward to building on our longstanding relationship with
Calgary Health Region to help them achieve their important objectives,"
said Claude Roy, Logibec president and CEO.
